Guidance For Year 12 Students

What should I be working on for the rest of the academic year?

A Level/BTEC courses

You should be working on lessons set by your teachers and trying to maintain a healthy working routine. This will be hard work but will pay off. You can also access any of the additional learning opportunities and complete courses that complement your learning.

Year 12 Level 2 students

Access any of the enrichment / additional learning opportunities mentioned below and complete those that appeal to you. Further to this look under the Year 11 transition section of the website and complete the transition material for any of the courses you might like to study.

Additional learning opportunities

  • (Year 12 Level 2 students ) Transition work in your chosen A Level/BTEC subjects: our guidance is that you complete the transition material set for any of the A levels or the BTECs that you would like to study. Please do this for any subjects that we are offering at OALP and those that we are currently not. By doing this your teachers will be able to provide references based on your performance and make recommendations for further study.
  • Post 16 wider reading lists: along with the transition material you will be given access to a wider reading list. Please read around the subjects you are wanting to study. This will prepare you for the subjects you study by giving you an insight into the content.
