Students celebrate and are ready for their next steps after achieving some great A’ Level and BTEC results

Lister Park A-Level students retuned to school for one last time today to collect their grades where they achieved some superb results.

The wait for A’ Level results is over as students across the country returned to school one final time to collect their grades. The current coronavirus pandemic hasn’t dampened spirits for final year students at Oasis Academy Lister Park, Bradford, as they look forward to taking their next steps today after securing some great results.

A number of students have achieved superb individual results.

Mohammed Zeeshan Mahmood, the academy’s highest achieving student, has secured grade As in biology, chemistry, maths and Urdu. He will be going on to the University of Dundee to study dentistry.

Zeeshan was delighted with his results and is excited about moving away to study further afield. His parents are really proud of how hard he has worked throughout his education, showing that work ethic is all important to success.

A number of students have done the academy proud by achieving A grades in maths and chemistry, with one student achieving an A* in Urdu. The academy also saw 6 students achieving BTEC distinctions in all 3 of their subjects, which is a superb result.

Sian Dover, Principal at Oasis Academy Lister Park, commented on students’ success saying; “We are thrilled for our young people who have worked so hard for these results. They have showed commitment and resilience during a challenging year and a half, never losing focus. At Oasis Academy Lister Park, we work hard to instil confidence and self-belief in our students so that they leave the academy with opportunities to thrive and be successful. This year, we are pleased to see more students than ever leaving us with great qualifications that enable them to make that next step towards a rewarding career and personal success."

“Today, I am also proud of our committed team of staff who have worked relentlessly to teach, support and nurture our students, enabling them to do their best and meet their potential.”

The Assistant Principal for Post 16 at Oasis Academy Lister Park, added; “We are absolutely thrilled for all our students today. Their hard work has paid off and they truly deserve these results. It is such a pleasure to see them moving onto their next chapter and it’s a privilege to have played a part in this journey. Our students are excellent role models to younger students, showing what they can achieve if they work hard and stay focused. We wish them all the best.”
