Year 9 Students have taken part in the Annual Bradford Manufacturing Week where they were given the opportunity to visit a number of workplaces in the Manufacturing industry.
Launched by Bradford Chamber of Commerce and co-ordinated by career specialists Aspire-iGen, Bradford Manufacturing Weeks bring manufacturers, schools, young people and parents together through tours, work experience, seminars, exhibitions and learning events held at manufacturer premises and key locations across the district.
Oasis Academy students visited Solenis - a leading global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and Ernest Cummins – a leading commercial printing specialist, both of which are located here in Bradford.
Our students experienced the world of work and had the opportunity to see manufacturing in action. Compliments of the students' engagement and behaviour was made by each organisation, which is great to hear.
